Facilitator & access notes
Falling, catching, relative body size and ability create real physical constraints. Keep this a manually selected reference method; this summary is not safe-catching instruction.
How to facilitate it
- Explain that the original method involves one person leaning or falling backward to be caught by another.
- Offer a non-falling alternative and require explicit agreement before any physical version is considered.
- Use only competent facilitation and stop rather than increasing exposure when someone is uncertain.
- Debrief the role of choice and reliable support.
Reflection prompts
- Notice: What did this activity reveal about how we work together?
- Carry forward: What would you like to try next?
